the message behind the design?
Filipa: The illustration aims to portray a concept of shelter, rescue, and safety through the depiction of a colossal orange vest amidst the vast expanse of the ocean. This image hopes to capture the essence of providing solace and protection to those seeking refuge. The vest, symbolic of protection and visibility, serves as a beacon of hope, standing tall amidst the challenging waters. Its enormity represents the magnitude of the global need for safe havens. Within its embrace, refugees find respite from the tumultuous seas, finding reassurance and a sense of security. The design merges the symbolism of the vest with the vastness of the ocean, evoking a message of compassion, support, and the fundamental right to find refuge in times of peril.
